Burgarello Alarm Inc, in Sparks, NV, would like to thank everybody who came out and visited our Sparks office in November and picked up a turkey for Thanksgiving. We had such a huge response and witnessed such a great need in our community, that we have decided to offer Christmas Hams to those in need this Christmas Season.  We have ordered 175 Fresh Holiday Hams, that we will distribute the morning of Saturday, December 22, to any member of Our Community who would like to have a Christmas Ham to serve their family this Holiday Season.

What: 175 - 10 lb. Fresh Holiday Hams
When: Saturday, December 22, approx. 9am-11am or until all 175 hams are gone
Where: Burgarello Alarm parking lot, 50 Snider Way, Sparks, NV
Who: Any family in our community that is in need of a Christmas ham. We do ask that each family only picks up one ham, so that we can help out as many families as possible.

We encourage and welcome anybody in Our Community, who wants or needs a Fresh Holiday Ham this Christmas,  to stop by our office early, say hello and pick one up.

Burgarello Alarm Inc. is taking Thanksgiving personally this year, hoping to make a happier holiday for hundreds of local families.

The Sparks company gave away 225 frozen turkeys from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to anybody who came to the Burgarello parking lot and wanted one.

"Our company has always been very community oriented," said Steven Saari, financial controller and director of marketing. "We do small philanthropic things, such as we give to schools, athletics and bands, support UNR and UNR Boosters, the Junior League and VFW."

"We wanted to do something on a larger scale," he said of the turkey giveaway. "When the economy is not too great, it's a good time to do it."

"Burgarello Alarm was founded in 1972. Louie Ray and Janice Burgarello are the owners", Saari said." The company also has offices in Incline Village, the Sacramento area and Henderson. The turkey giveaway is a token of thanks to the community for the company's success", he said.

"The 225 number is an arbitrary one", he said.

"We did not want to run out early and we did not want to end up with 100 turkeys left at the end of the day, but they all went quickly to really good people" Saari said.

"There were no requirements for who got a turkey", he said.

"The birds were from Ponderosa Meat", Saari said. Burgarello employee/volunteers will be on hand in the company parking lot to help with distribution.

"The end goal was to help as many individual families as we can," he said.

"We had been thinking about this for a long time," he said. "We hope we can do it again."
